She united with her sisters, cousins and friend to create a Gospel Singing Group called the Gospelettes. The Gospelettes sang in Churches around Texas and surrounding states. Sis Serena returned from California and gave her life to the Lord at 22 years old. The couple have 6 children, Alexandria and Amya Madlock, A’Kisha, Gerald, Taaj and Shinisha Ward with 9 grandchildren and 1 on the way.
